BlackFalconJC Application
Gentleman Gaming has multiple Divisions, both competitive and Social, which are you Applying for?
HT: Competitive Land-Holding Clan Wars
SSGS: Competitive Nightly Clan Wars on the Global Map
MEN: Social & Tournament Clan
SSGS2: Low-tier Development and Reserve Division
Not sure yet, right now I'm reaching out to people that contacted me for a recruiting forum post. Which ever would be the best fit for my stats/tanks/skills, but I am looking to improve my play by learning from other better tankers. Quite honestly, I'm filling this application out partially to see the the funny responses typical of your members on some of the other posts of wanna-joiners...

Previous Clans and how long you spent in each:
Reasons why you left those groups:
Do you know anyone in our Community? If yes, who?
I have yet to experience the pleasure (or otherwise) of meeting any of your esteemed entourage, except perhaps in a random battle. I was contacted by a recruiter on the forums.
Have you been on our TS previously?
No
List your Tier 10 vehicles, as well as the AVERAGE damage per battle and Win % for each:
Winrate on these is still low as I've not had good platoon mates to run with, and I've been focusing on Tier 6-8 for the past 3 months to increase my base skill level. Ran just enough games to unlock top equipment.
What Class of Tier 10 vehicles do you perform best in?
Actually, I've posted my best games in a Tier 8 Scout in a Tier 10 games. My current fav is AMX 13 90, but I love my BatChat for the same reasons. I'm at my best in these tanks when clipping out a distracted opponent, in a wolfpack of other similar medium drivers, or when view range camo sniping at distance.

How many days per week can you attend Clan Wars?
Typically 2-3 for CW, need some time to grind credits and new lines.
What time zone do you currently reside in?
Eastern Standard Time, US.
What makes you want to join Gentleman Gaming?
Currently I'm exploring options, I wanted to make contact and get some more feedback to find out more about your clan. End goal is to learn from better tankers and function in a semi-competitive fashion.
Do you have Previous Clan Wars experience? If yes, with who and in what role?
Yes, I was a soldier in Ryder and routinely participated in their daily CW activities. My role was often a flexer/fell in with Mediums in my T110-E5 for extra firepower. I also have some very limited calling experience in Tier 6 SH.
What are your ambitions as a member?
Same thing I do every night, try to take over the world! On slightly more realistic note, to learn to be a better tanker and improve my skills by platooning with better people than myself. To rejoin CW and SH as part of a more active group and possibly take part in Tournaments.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What kind of a person are you?
If you haven't sensed that I have a sense of humor by now, then, well.... We have nothing to talk about. I'm usually a quick study and have a knack for taking a concept and understanding/acting on it. I'm fairly polite, a bit of a gentleman (unless you ask my wife), and can be fairly diplomatic if needed.
If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?

One of the Officers in our Community is an idiot. Who do you think it is?
I thought it was a pre-requisite to become an officer to have suffered some form of brain damage?

Previous Clans and how long you spent in each:
- Ryder - 3 month-ish.
- TF-A - 4 months
Reasons why you left those groups:
- Ryder - Leadership was a bit on the overbearing side. Favored turtle strats defending land...
- TF-A - Clan is in a rebuilding phase right now, wanted a larger pool than 2-3 people a night to platoon with.

Re: BlackFalconJC Application
Clan history is shaky, stats are showing some improvement. Application is well written, but some things concern me, like resistance against certain strats, tho I could see if they were consistently failing strats why he would.
Re: BlackFalconJC Application
Well noted!
We had near a 95% failure rate during land defense (about 10-20 battles) using Turtle strategies, due to tank composition (lot of E-100's) and the fact our players were more aggressive players... The reason I left was that the management was content to keep making the same calls despite a consistent lack of success and forced out of the clan other players who were vocal in their criticism (including executive officers) of this and other behaviors. (Clan split and lost about 30 members shortly after I left).
I left amicably without causing a fuss to pursue better opportunities, which didn't exactly pan out to be as active in-game as I'd hoped.

Re: BlackFalconJC Application
Using free exp to reach T10 faster is helpful to get involved in CW faster. It's something I've done myself, you can grind credits and exp at the same time using T8 premiums. But it may be a bad idea for newer players, those long tier 9 grinds help you get used to that level of play before you hit T10, that could explain why your T10 winrates are suffering. Or it could just be bad luck combined with low sample size.

Re: BlackFalconJC Application
You hit on one my biggest tanking career mistakes up to this point. The T110-E5 was at the request of Ryder leadership. They were short Tier 10's and wanted them ASAP, we were so short the for the first month that until I ground out the T32, I was often asked to bring my Super Persh into CW...
The BatChat was a victim of the March of Nations during the Holidays, they were offering 30% off the 6.1 mil credits, which amounted to a substantial savings in silver and I'd fallen behind on the grind. Because of this, they have been mostly parked until my skill level increases to the point where I can effectively use them.
To that end as well, I'm currently grinding the T62-A line with no free XP whatsoever to help gain that valuable experience! These are also some of the best performing tanks in my garage for this same reason...

I could see getting frustrated with that. Well written replies are always a boon to an applicant who can reply without getting all butt hurt about blotches in their past.

Thanks, I have no issue being honest about the mistakes I've made thus far, as how else can you learn to improve yourself? Let me know if you have any other questions or would like clarification on any points!
