Joining SSGS
Which Division of Gentleman Gaming(Super Secret Gentleman's Squadron, Blue Turret, MEN, or Heavy Turret) are you looking to join?

Previous Clans:
37th Tank Bn (37th)
USMC
37th Tank Bn
Alpha Co, 37th Tank Bn (37thA)
The Blued & Royals (TBR)
Reasons why you left those groups:
When I joined 37th, CW was still in it's infancy...but I was noob enough to not understand WHY I wasn't being played in my mighty VK3601H, despite readying up 6 out of 7 nights a week. So I joined, USMC. After several months, USMC had a rogue recruiter who summarily booted everyone in the clan he didn't know including my son (WhiteRaven321). So I left...and returned to 37th (Firemick told me specifically, I had a "home" should I choose to return).
After some months of progressively active CW play in the clan, I was asked to lead the faultering junior clan, 37thA, and turn it into a CW clan that could support the senior clan in CW. I took some 8 members of 37th as a command staff...and in under 30 days, revived 37thA to the point of landing in Egypt. After a great deal of success, and firemick making the HUGE mistake of turning over command of the main clan to a less than honourable Jackattax22 (spelling?), who then proceeded to dismember 2 of the 3 CW teams we had developed and built. The rank and file membership of 37thA rebelled and asked that we leave and form a new clan, which became The Blues & Royals.
We chose the name TBR because at the time we had 4 Australians, 3 Kiwi's, 2 South African, 5 Brits, 3 Malasians, 2 Indonesians, 4 guys from Brit possessions in the Caribbean, as well as 30+ Americans and Canadians...and we wanted to represent something not American/Canadian that had a proud tradition in tanks.
Following the NA map rollout clusterfuck, TBR never really recovered from the almost 2 months of non-CW participation. You can't herd cats if they don't want to go that way. So, rather than destroy a clan I formed and led for 19 months (by forming a dedicated CW associated clan), I decided to leave this past week.
What is the favorite tank you've played and why, as well as a run down of your highest tier vehicle:
T-54 or Type 59 (essentially a profitable '54!)
If Gates could touch you anywhere, where would you let them touch you:
Well...that would depend upon the mood I was in at the time of the touching, now wouldn't it?
If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?:
The blind squirrel that got the nut.
If Gates calls you in the middle of the night to discuss sexual fantasies, what do you do?:
Ask who died...
What makes you want to join our Community?:
I would very much like to be part of a good "serious" CW clan. I started playing at the very end of open beta. I had a blast because this is the 1st game that is focused on the one facet of gaming I've always thought would be so much fun...tanks.
Once I joined 37th (Tank Bn), more than 3500 games later, I learned that stats did matter, but by then the damage was done...43% w/l rate was difficult to fix...but I did and have been steadily improving.
All that while building 2 reasonably successful CW clans. I was asked to take over 37thA (Alpha Co, 37th Tank Tn) and build a successful CW clan to support 37th Tank Bn (the senior clan). I, and my leadership team did that in under 30 days...we landed 3 times in Africa as part of the Patton's 3rd Army Alliance, and then lead the alliance to landing in northern Europe when we moved to the EU maps. We landed in Iceland and then moved into Norway as the vanguard of the alliance.
When the 37th began to raid 37thA for members...and gutted 2 of our 3 CW teams...the clan membership rebelled and asked me to form a new clan, The Blues & Royals (TBR). As TBR we landed 7 times in Africa, thrice in EU and once on NA maps...when the NA map roll-out screw-ups occurred after the two extended breaks, the clan's focus...became less sharp on CW and more focused on "fun." While I love to have fun and do so playing this damn game, my aim has always been to excel at clan wars.
Previous Clan Wars experience?:
I have 429 CW battles. At least half of those I called. Some successfully, some not. I tried to NOT repeat mistakes from one battle to the next.
The clan has to invest into every player that joins, what can you, the player, invest back into the clan?:
Time and effort, as well as extensive experience in CW, both as a battle group leader, battle operator or just as a troop. Experience counts to avoid making stupid mistakes in CW.

I have to admit, when I led 37thA I cordially hated you guys in SSGS and BT...we landed in the Crimea as the "eastern flank" of P3A alliance...and just couldn't move off the landing to save our lives...it was VERY frustrating!

Yeah! Well you get the last laugh, 37thA was disbanded by JackAttax22 not long after we left. He didn't like the competition. That's a shame because some of the people who were left were really good guys.

I suppose we did... although INCA disbanded as well, funny enough. Somewhat the same scenario. Non-competitive Vs. competitive and the Commander just got tired of it.

Mass is in charge of BT, so no luck there. And now I'm in charge of HT, so no luck there either.Gates wrote:Leave and join a clan who has their head on straight.

Gates, hopefully you'll be on tonight so we can chat...I will try and be on @ 8:30 or so...OTH, tomorrow is my B-day, so I'll probably not be on...at my age, getting trashed and laid has a relatively high priority...its the one day a year I KNOW I'm getting both!

Re: Joining SSGS
Thanks, they're a work in progress. I'm not displeased w/my 60 day stats and if you look at noobmeter (won't allow me to post a link yet), they have been on and uphill climb for a very long time...something I will continue to work on regardless of acceptance here. Yes, I know you guys prefer WoTlabs, but the only issue I have ever had with them is that they only cover the past 60 days. Noobmeter allows you to go back much further than that.Pep wrote:I like this guy if, for no other reason than the fact he is older than I am !!!!

However, my biggest handicap in bringing up my stats was that as a clan leader of a "mid-level" clan, I often had to platoon w/my shittier players...and try and teach them what I know (and admittedly there are gaps in my knowledge). That was sometimes a teeth gritting experience...but...that is now in the past. Regardless of the outcome, I would like to thank you guys for at least giving me the opportunity.

Ran a few games with him. Did fairly well. good tactics and seems to avoid putting himself in bad situations.
As for joining i have heard worst ideas, but can't think of any right now. Remember nothing like the adventure of a bad idea. (Yes)
